Use in Cancer
Ixabepilone is approved to be used alone or with capecitabine to treat:
- Breast cancer that is locally advanced or has metastasized (spread to other parts of the body). It is used in patients whose disease cannot be treated with or did not respond to other chemotherapy.
Ixabepilone is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer.
